Has anyone tried gain staging tape plugins via the Youtube video: MIX MINUTES - Gain Your Stage Tape w/Mix Monolith? The only virtual tape plugins I have are the original ones by IK Multimedia (the 80, 440, 24, and 99). I'm guessing the meters on these are just for looks because using the techniques from the video, I get nothing over -10 on the meters when playing back my track (even with the ATR-102 preset)!
