Located in Brea, CA. Brian Tochilin has been recording bands since 1995. He works with many genres of rock ranging from classic rock to ska and has a steady clientele of hard rock groups/artists.
Brian started off as head engineer recording live bands for a radio station in Southern California. Some of the bands that passed through there were The Specials, The Vandals, The Toasters, Gwar, The Aquabats, Ozomatli, Save Ferris, The Nuckle Brothers, Jump With Joey, The Descendents, All, Dave Wakeling, Fishbone, The Skatalites, Dance Hall Crashers, The Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Royal Crown Review, The Skalars, Dem Brooklyn Bums, Home Grown, Citizen Fish, Hagfish, The Ataris, Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys, The Slackers, Spring Heeled Jack, Limbeck, Phantom Planet, Jimmy Eat World, Big D and the Kids Table, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Fugazi, Mustard Plug, The OC Supertones, Toots & The Maytals, At The Drive-In, My Superhero, Lets Go Bowling, Jurassic 5 and many more.
In 1995 Brian started recording bands on 8 track and has moved at a steady rate from there. Later upgrading to 2" tape and popular digital formats. Recording local groups Brian soon began working with more established bands like Thrice, Avenged Sevenfold, Jimmy Eat World, Limbeck, Project 86 and many more. A-Room Studios is now a professional recording studio located in the city of Brea. Brian believes laying the foundation of a huge professional drum sound is paramount to any recording which is why A-Room Studios has a full Pork Pie drum set and 10 snares to choose from. It also has a large selection of amps, guitars, basses and acoustics for use free of charge. Brian always works with bands to get a great bass tone and an “end of the world” guitar sound. A-Room Studios also has many types of popular guitars and basses from P-Basses to J-Basses, Tele's to Strat’s, SG's to Les Paul’s and many more.
