First, I use COS pro a lot. It’s fantastic. It would be great if we had an option to save the calculated EQ curve along with the ceiling when saving a setting though. If I save it in Reaper as a Reaper setting, or iZotope RX, then the EQ compensation curve gets saved, but that doesn’t happen when saving natively.
The reason I ask is, I want to test COS Pro through DDF’s Metaplugin (can load and oversample any plugin up to 64x as long as that plug supports the MgHz sample rate needed) and then invert and sum the two results to see if there’s any mathematical benefit to oversampling COS Pro. I ran a similar test in Reaper and iZotope RX when testing Online vs Offline rendering and found full speed Offline rendering to be mathematically identical, fortunately.
I look forward to the ability to save EQ curves separately! I use Logic Pro for recording and MixBus 32C for mixing, so it would be great to move an EQ curve between DAWs without having to re-create everything. Thank you.
Hello Daniel, I'm happy to say that we have moved our development over to Brainworx and will later be releasing a fully reconfigured COS Pro with many new features including the ability to save EQ curves separately. At the moment, if you "Save" a COS Pro preset in your DAWs preset library it saves the EQ curve along with the Ceiling. Stay tuned and Happy Mixing.
