Hello, I'm just demo'ing both the Ceiling of Sound Pro and Mix Monolith in Presonus Studio One 5.
Mix Monolith works fine, but when I tried to use Ceiling of Sound and edit the EQ with the mouse pointer, it's like the pointer was editing the point 1 inch to the left where my mouse pointer was, very bizarre and sure not how this software works correct?
You would be able to click and point at the EQ node you want to move and it will light up and the you just click and move it, or click "Alt" or "Ctrl" I forget now and click and drag for a group, but when I click and drag the highlight box shows up again about 1 inch to the left.
Will try and do a screen record video to show this behaviour, I know it's not my PC as it's brand new and a new install of Studio One 5 Professional, but is there a glitch between the Ceiling of Sound software and Studio One 5 at present?
Video attached to show what it's doing... As you will see, where the EQ graph bumps up and down, is when I click, but I will move my mouse pointer and you'll see where the pointer is, but when I left click, you'll see the graph edit move off to the left, I can't even select an EQ node.
I'm trying to demo this before I purchase and not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if this is a known bug, I've tried both VST2 and VST3 in 64bit and neither work.
Hope someone or support from AYAIC can help with this.
Hello again Menno, I'm embarrassed to say after testing everything in my 4k resolution (and my screen set not to 125% larger) everything works :-)... Something bizarre happens to the resolution which I believe may not be the fault of your software, but the screen resolution, when I set it to the full 3440 x 1440 and "Scale and layout" at 100% it all works fine.
So I have to say, I'm sorry about putting your team through this testing, when it was in fact my error, but your mention of the 4k screen, has helped me figure this one out, so now I'm happy to say I can work all in Studio One 5 Pro and not have to switch between Cakewalk to use COS and then bounce it all back to Studio One 5...
Happy days and thank you again :-)
Thank you for that Menno, very interesting find, I just swapped my old 27" LCD in and it works in Studio One 5 now... I wonder, would changing the resolution on the 4k screen, make it work?
Also, I've found that it works in Cakewalk DAW (the free DAW) on the 4k monitor no problem at all, but in Studio One 5 that's the problem.
I do appreciate you letting me know about this bug in the coding platform and very much look forward to when it's fixed so I can start using my new 4k monitor again, (it's a bit of a shock to the system going back to the old LCD display) :-)
Hello, after testing further we found that this is due to the use of the latest 4K monitors. For now we will have to list it as a "known bug" as it is a shortcoming of our coding platform...that said, we remain dedicated to providing the very best in audio tools and will work to correct it as soon as we possibly can.
